By Order of the Board of Directors
The chapter leadership board has successfully ended their search for a member to take over the position of Chapter 35 Treasurer. Long time treasurer Laura Pfennig of Erie County has retired, and Tom Macauley of Livingston County was approved at our September 11, 2021 BOD meeting as our new treasurer. Tom will be installed at our Annual Installation of Officers Ceremony. The board of directors extend a huge thank you to Laura for her exceptional performance as our treasurer and for staying on until we found a replacement.
Many of you got to know Tom when he hosted our chapter picnic last June at his beautiful East Groveland Road farm in Mt. Morris, NY. A third-generation farmer, Tom hosts annual Farm Bureau activities at his farm and is well respected throughout the community. His wife Georgia, also a member of Chapter 35 is equally involved managing the farm business office for many years.
On Monday, October 18, 2021 the Macauley’s and chapter president Gene Preston met with an official of the M&T Bank of Perry, NY where we presented Chapter 35 paperwork necessary for the bank to complete forms officially naming Tom as treasurer in place of Laura Pfennig. At the same time paperwork was processed naming our president as second signer in place of past president Ray DeGlopper. We wish Laura all the best and welcome Tom to his new position with our club.
